ELLIS COUNTY—A woman from Hays was injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Friday in Ellis County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Honda Shadow motorcycle driven by Gabrielle Ann Chittenden, 23, Hays, was eastbound on Old U.S. 40 one mile west of Victoria.
As the the driver negotiated a curve, the motorcycle drifted right off the roadway, entered the south ditch, struck a field entrance and overturned.
EMS transported Chittenden to HaysMed. Driver was wearing a helmet and eye protection, according to the KHP.
