Patricia Anne Pierce, daughter of Henry F and Edith L (Campbell) Pierce was born on April 2, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo. Her death occurred Sept. 19, 2022, at Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital, Gardner at the age of 76.
Patricia lived her early life in Hays. On Nov. 18, 1964, she was united in marriage to Henry Mason Sellers at Hays. This union was blessed with three children: Margaret, Christine and Katherine.
Patricia occupied her life with the many activities of a homemaker, housewife, mother and grandmother. She made the family home in several communities in Kansas while traveling with her family until 1987 when Henry and Patricia moved to Manhattan, Kan., until 2002 when Patricia moved to Russell, until 2019 when she was moved to Gardner to live out her life.
She enjoyed playing the piano for her children and grandchildren and having holidays with her family. She also enjoyed researching family genealogy and creating a variety of food dishes. She played the piano for musical productions in Singapore and Manhattan, Kan.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Those who preceded her in death were her parents, Henry and (Edith) Lorraine Pierce and two great-granddaughters, Meredith and Macy.
Survivors are Henry Sellers of Russell, daughters: Margaret Sellers of Kansas City, Mo., Christine Sellers of Russell, and Katherine Sellers of Russell. Also surviving are her granddaughters: Angela (Miller) Meyer and her husband, Patrick of Adrian, Mo., Jamie Crawford of St. John, Kansas, Randi Steinle of Yukon, Okla., and Chandler (Reich) Sellens and her husband, Jake of Russell. Her great-grandchildren: Edwin, Porter, Veda, Reese and Adler. Her brother, Henry Pierce and his wife MaryLynn of Ohio, her sister MaryBeth Sayre, her husband Larry of Texas, and a number of other relatives.
At 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, family and friends will gather at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601, for a celebration of Patricia's life. Patricia will be buried at Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.
