Janelle Quinones, 69, died on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Shepherd’s
Center in Cimarron. She was born on November 5, 1952, at Hays, the
daughter of Roy & Novela (McDaniel) Burd. She married Pedro “Pete”
Quinones on June 22, 1978, at Raton, New Mexico.
Janelle attended Pierceville High School. She worked at Monfort and
Con-Agri Beef Plants, was office manager for Pete’s Sprinkler Repair and
became a longtime Cashier at Walmart. She enjoyed fishing, camping,
her pets, making tie blankets and most of all being a Grandmother and
friend to her family.
She is survived by her Son- Waylon Quinones of Pierceville, Daughter-
Leyla Daley of Cimarron and 3 Grandchildren= Damien Quinones, Katie
Jones and Jacob Daley. She was preceded in death by her Parents,
Brother- Lawrence Jones and Sister- Joyce Burd.
Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Pierceville Cemetery in
Pierceville with Rev Bob Bates officiating. Friends may call from 2:00
PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
