KDHE: 28 new COVID cases in Ellis Co. in past week

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday reported 28 new COVID-19 cases had been identified in Ellis County from July  9 to 15.

KDHE reports updated case numbers weekly on Wednesdays.

Several northwest Kansas counties (see map below) were included among those with high incidence of coronavirus. Ellis County was moved from the high-incidence to substantial-incident classification.

Since reporting began, there have been 7,397 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths as of April 1. KDHE has also discontinued county-by-county death totals.
