Carolene June Veeh Marshall, born June 1, 1938, departed this earth at her home on February 8, 2023, at the age of 84, surrounded by family. Carolene was born to Louis & Nellie (Clark) Veeh in Phillipsburg, KS.
At the age of 5, the Veeh family moved to Speed, KS until 1950 when the family moved to Phillipsburg. Carolene graduated in 1956 from Phillipsburg High School.
In 1957, Carolene married Blair Chrise, in Chicago, IL, but moved within the year to Pittsburgh, PA. To this union, three children were born Debi, John, and Doug. In 1989, Carolene moved from Pittsburgh, PA to Grand Island, NE, then Hastings, NE to be near her family.
Love found Carolene again in 1991 when she married Terry Marshall. She and Terry made their home in Hastings. Life took Carolene & Terry to Geneva, NE in 2003 for work where she retired in 2009 after helping her daughter Debi at Whispering Wicks Candle Co.
Carolene enjoyed all the time she was able to spend with each and every member of her family. Her Grandchildren were her world.
She is survived by children Debi (James) Noyes of Geneva, John (Brenda) Chrise of Hastings, Doug Chrise of Fairmont; stepsons Brad (Angie) Marshall of Lincoln and Kent (Brandi) Marshall of Lincoln; grandchildren Tara Griffiths of Milford, Brooke Brown of Grafton, Ciara Burton of Geneva, and Logan Chrise of Colorado Springs; step grandchildren Hayley, Landon, and Lyla Marshall of Lincoln; great grandchildren Brenden, Baylee, Jayda, Jarin, Mylie, Addysen, Corbyn, Kash, Alyvia, Lakynn, Myah, and Axton; along with a great great grandchild Jade.
Carolene was preceded in death by her parents, sister, niece, and husband Terry Marshall.
Cremation was planned. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview Cemetery in Phillipsburg, KS with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating.
