Althought it wasn't much, a little welcome rain fell in Hays Thursday.
Just a trace was the official amount measured at the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town.
However, more rain fell at the Hays Regional Airport with 0.15 inches, and also at the Eagle Media Center, 2300 Hall, with 0.20 inches.
Just 0.04 inches of precipitation has been received as of April 10. The month's average total is 2.10 inches.

Ellis County remains in a moderate drought, according to the Kansas Drought Monitor released April 9. Nearly 85% of the state needs rain, with conditions ranging from abnormally dry to extreme drought in Cheyenne County in far northwest Kansas.
The weekend weather forecast calls for more rain with warming temperatures through Sunday.
