HAYS - Ellis edged Hoxie by two strokes to win the Mid-Continent League golf championship Thursday at the Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course. TMP-Marian finished third.
Hoxie's Ashton Dowell shot a 3-over-par 74 and won the individual title by two strokes over Plainville’s Parker Krob . TMP-Marian Jackson Schulte finished in a four-way tie for fifth with Dylan Budig of Hill City, Brady Frickey of Ellis and Ty Sides of Phillipsburg. The Monarchs Landon Rozean placesd 10th.
