NWS: Cold front likely bringing cold, ice to NW Kan. this weekend

A winter storm watch is in effect for much of western Kansas beginning Friday night, the National Weather Service in Dodge City has reported. 

A mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow is possible through Saturday, with accumulation up to 6 inches possible. 

With winds gusting up to 35 mph, the NWS warned of potential drifting of snow, as well as ice accumulation.

Wind chills are expected to dip to 15 below zero. A high of just 10 degrees is projected for Ellis County on Saturday.
