It was hot again in Hays on Monday, setting another record.
The high temperature reached 103 degrees, surpassing the previous high of 102 degrees for Sept. 14 set in 1978, according to official records from the K-State Agricultural Research Center.
A cold front moved in overnight, bringing 0.07 inches of rain and cooler temperatures.
The three-day weather forecast for Hays calls for a high in the 70s today, then warming up again into the 90s on Thursday and Friday.
