🏀TMP girls have two named to the All MCL teams

TMP’s Jaci VonLintel was named to the first-team All Mid-Continent League team on Tuesday.

VonLintel led the Monarchs in all major categories. She averaged 13.8 points per game, scoring in double-figures in 20-of-23 games. She recorded 11 double-doubles and averaged nine rebounds. She averaged 5.5 steals, and recorded one triple-double, with 11 steals against Rawlins County. She recorded an average of three assists and two blocks per game as well.

Phillipsburg’s Taryn Sides and Heather Schemper were also named to the first-team along with Hoxie’s Josey Kennedy and Smith Center’s Maile Hrabe.

Brooke Koenigsman was a second-team selection for the Monarchs after she averaged 11.6 points per game.

Joining her on the second team was Ellis’ Emily Eck, Hoxie’s Kinley Rogers, Dakota Kattenberg from Smith Center and Norton’s Jenessa Ruder.

On the third-team was Smith Center’s Camryn Hutchinson, Trego’s Reece Smith, Hoxie’s Emily Bainter, Oakley’s Jaelle Johnson and Norton’s Cara Cox.

Ellis’ Natalee North and Isabella Eck were named to the honorable mention team along with Smith Center’s Gracie Kirchoff, Kayla Jacobs from Phillipsburg and Oakley’s Justice Booker.

Phillipsburg claimed the MCL tournament title and won the regular season title outright after sharing it each of the two prior seasons.
