Ethan was born on August 30th, 2000, to Scott and Hailey Knoll in Garden City, Kansas. Ethan graduated from Holcomb High School in 2019. After high school, Ethan went on to study welding at Garden City Community College.

Ethan enjoyed motocross, trapshooting, football, baseball, bowling, his many friends, family get-togethers, listening to music, going to the lake, hunting, fishing, and going to watch the Garden City Wind Baseball team. Ethan also enjoyed volunteering to take K9 bites for the Garden City Police K9 program. Ethan was an avid KU and Chiefs fan. Ethan spent most of his weekends with his girlfriend Autumn Wadley. Together they enjoyed being with family, going out to eat, playing board games, cooking and dancing in the kitchen, and watching movies with popcorn and staying up late like little kids. Ethan always had a smile on his face and had a contagious laugh. He was a strong advocate for the underdogs, he was always there for the people who needed him the most. Ethan had a huge heart and took especially good care of his niece Raeli, spoiling her and learning to be the best uncle. Ethan was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and uncle.

Ethan enjoyed working on the family farm, Knoll Inc., after school. He was currently working at Pete’s Place in Dighton as a bartender, server, and cook. He made many friends working behind the bar of Pete’s, enjoying every moment. He loved meeting all the residents of Dighton.

Ethan was preceded in death by his grandfather's Clarence Knoll, and Rusty Smith.
