🎾 No. 2 Doubles second, HHS girls' fourth at WAC

GARDEN CITY - The Hays High No. 2 Doubles team of Alyse Zimmerman and Kaelin Maier went 3-1 and finished second at the Western Athletic Conference tournament Monday hosted by Garden City High School. The No. 2 Doubles team of Kinlee May and Jaiden Pfannenstiel went 1-3 and places fourth. Isabelle Jones went 1-3 in No. 2 Singles and finished fourth while Maycie Holdeman went 0-4 in No. 1 Singles and finished fifth.

The Indians finished fourth in the team standings with five points. Garden City won the team title with 14 points, Great Bend finished second with 11.

Great Bend's Kaylin Wahlmeier is the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year. The Panthers Zachary Bartel is the Coach of the Year.

The Indians are at regionals this weekend hosted by Salina Central.
