Golden Prairie Extension
You might notice undesirable weeds or grasses in your pastures with the dry conditions accompanied by small amounts of sporadic moisture. This can be frustrating when you try to get livestock turned out and utilize your pastures for grazing.
Ag agents Kelsi Luman (Golden Prairie District) and Aaron Hyland (Rawlins County) have paired up with K-State Research and Extension specialists Keith Harmoney and Drew Ricketts to inform you about undesirable grasses and predator control that might help remove some of your frustrations.
Join us for the Weed Control on Native Pastures program on November 29 at the American Legion in Bird City or November 30 at Western Cooperative Electric in WaKeeney.
The program will begin at 6 p.m. with a meal and conclude around 9 p.m. There will be a $15 registration fee due at the door to help cover the cost of the meal.
Please RSVP by November 20 to be included in the meal count.
