Sergeant Phillip Gage and Officer Caleb Koehn received a Clinical Save Award, which included a certificate and a coin acknowledging their efforts in assisting a person having a medical crisis, according to a recent post on Facebook from the Hays Police Department.
Their efforts along with other first responders helped save the individual's life.
"Thank you to our local Ellis County EMS who submitted their names & our department for the award. Great job Sgt. Gage & Ofc. Koehn keep up the good work," the post said.
