Darcy Lynn Hubka-Vopat, 37, of Russell, Kansas and former Wilson, Kansas resident, died on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington, Kansas.

Darcy was born on September 1, 1987, in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Ronald J. and Virginia E. “Ginny” (Lawrence) Hubka. Darcy grew up in Wilson, Kansas, and graduated from Wilson High School in the class of 2006. She met the love of her life and was united in marriage to Dustin A. Vopat on July 24, 2015, in Wilson, Kansas. From this union Darcy and Dustin were blessed with three children Bailey, Sydney and Lynley. She has worked for many years as an accounts payable representative with Wilson Communications. She was very involved in her community and worked hard to improve the Wilson and surrounding areas and even won an Ellsworth County Leadership award for her efforts. She was a member of the Wilson City Council Recreation Department, a Wilson Czech Festival Committee member and Organizer and helped coach Wilson Youth Sports. She enjoyed playing volleyball, softball, painting, drawing, and watching Kansas University and Creighton University basketball games. Most of all she enjoyed spending time and taking care of her family. She especially loved to help with and watch her children’s activities, in sports and other events.

Darcy is survived by her husband Dustin, daughter Bailey Vopat, son Sydney Vopat and daughter Lynley Vopat all of Russell, Kansas; parents Ronald and Ginny Hubka of Wilson, Kansas; brothers Jeremy Hubka of Wilson, Kansas and Toby Hubka of Akron, Iowa.
