A short section of the sanitary sewer main that runs down the center of Fort Street will be dug up and replaced.

Fort Street should be reopened to vehicle traffic by the end of the week.

Concurrently, a similar repair is underway on Main Street requiring the street to be shut down between 10th and 11th streets.

Main Street should be reopened to vehicle traffic by the end of the week.

Pedestrian access is maintained to all adjacent businesses.

Throughout the repairs, sanitary sewer service will be maintained, according to John Braun, city of Hays project director.
