🏈 FHSU's Heavner enters portal, commits to Miami of Ohio

The Fort Hays State football team will be looking for a new starting quarterback in 2026. Senior Caleb Heavner has entered the portal and committed to Division I Miami of Ohio.

The Denison, Texas native played in 24 games and made 17 starts over four seasons with the Tigers, completing 63-percent of his passes for 3,398 yards with 24 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. None of this interceptions came this past season. 

Heavner also rushed for 1,094 yards with 11 touchdowns.
