🥎 FHSU has eight on MIAA Academic Honor Roll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Fort Hays State softball team placed eight student-athletes on the 2023 MIAA Academic Honor Roll, released Wednesday (May 24) by the league office. Three Tigers also picked up additional honors with the MIAA Academic Excellence Award.

Regan CurryReese Curry and Lindsey Kelly all earned the MIAA Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA in the classroom. This is the second-such honor for Kelly and the first the Currys.

Other Tigers listed on the Academic Honor Roll include Loren BeggsSavanah EggerSydnee HoffmanMorgan Schmidt and Sarah Tiffany.

An MIAA Academic Excellence Award recipient must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 4.00 or better at the certifying member institution. The honoree also must have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

First-year student-athletes, including transfers and true freshmen, will be recognized at the conclusion of the school year when they meet the two terms of attendance requirement.
