Sharon 'Sherri' K. Wells

Sharon “Sherri” K. Wells of Norton, passed away on July 18, 2020 at the Logan Manor in Logan, Kansas. Sherri was born on March 8, 1949 to Killian and Regina (Ruder) Gerber in Plainville, Kansas. Sherri was united in marriage to Emery Wells Jr. in November of 1985 at the Plainville Courthouse. She was blessed with two children, Andrew and Trisha.

Sherri spent a lot of her life moving around. She was a native to Rooks County but moved to Denver and Wyoming for several job opportunities, and in the early 2000’s she relocated to Norton to live near her family and spend the rest of her years enjoying her kids and grandkids. She graduated from Plainville High School and attended Colby Community College where she earned her Associates Degree and a Training Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved to take care of others and spent the majority of her years as a CNA.

Sherri was a faith filled woman and attended catholic churches everywhere she moved. She took pride in her yard work and enjoyed gardening, mowing, and all together staying busy. Whether she was attending to her lawn, taking part in worship, taking care of others, cooking, or chasing grandkids, she was always staying busy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Andrew (Devaney) Wells of Norton and Trisha (Jarrod) Lawson of Norton; sisters, Sandy (Bob) Dreiling of Aladdin, WY, Sheryl Brown of Hays, KS, and Susan (David) Axelson of Parachute, CO; grandkids, Damian Lawson, Dillon Lawson, Peyton Lawson, Phillip Wells, Toby Wells, Reagan Lawson, Cooper Wells, and Colette Wells; one great-grandchild, Elena Lawson, with one on the way; and best friend, cousin, Joanie (Kit) Hunter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Killian and Regina Gerber; husband, Emery Wells Jr.; infant brother, Kenny Gerber; and brother-in-law Don Brown.

Private family services have been chosen with interment at Norton Cemetery in Norton, Kansas.
