Shirley A. (Strecker) Cramer

Shirley A. (Strecker) Cramer, 79, Hays, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at HaysMed.

She was born November 14, 1941, in Russell, Kansas the daughter of Ferdinand and Susanna (Brack) Strecker.  In 1959 she graduated from Russell High School.  On March 4, 1962, she was united in marriage to Gary Cramer in Milberger, Kansas, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 9, 2014.  She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, retired from advertising, working as a school cook, and being a homemaker. Shirley lived life to the fullest, enjoying walking, growing irises and lilacs, and playing Pollyanna with a competitive spirit.   Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters: Sherry Dryden and Genell Albert and husband Brett, all of Hays, one brother: Orval Strecker and wife Joyce of Sapulpa, OK, one brother-in-law: Dick Cramer and wife Connie of Hastings, NE, six grandchildren: Corbin Albert, Cade Albert, Charlotte Copper, Ashli Dryden, Keith Dryden, Daniel Dryden, two great grandchildren: Emersyn Copper and Elliot Copper, and many nieces and nephews 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary, and by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, with Pastor Rocco Mallardi officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Rural Rooks County.  Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 on Friday and from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday, all at the funeral home.
