THOMAS COUNTY—Three people were involved in an accident just after 4 p.m. Sunday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford F250 driven by Luis G. Cortes-Vicencio, 47, Albuquerque, New Mexico, was westbound on Old U.S. 24 just south of County Road Q.
The pickup swerved into the north ditch. The driver over-corrected, spun sideways into the south ditch and rolled into a field.
The driver and a passenger identified as 20-year-old Jose L. Cortes of Brewster, Kansas were not injured. A juvenile was also in the pickup; juvenile record is protected data. Cortes-Vicencio was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
