Lifelong Kirwin resident Hilda C. Weems passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg at the age of 85.

She was born Nov. 18, 1936, in Kirwin, the daughter of Joseph and Velma (Cales) Stoner.&nbsp; She graduated from Kirwin High School.

Hilda was united in marriage to Charles Weems on April 13, 1954, in Phillipsburg.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1999.

Survivors include her daughter Tisha Lynn Bohl and James Melvin of Kirwin; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 17 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Michael Ricci-Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirwin Cemetery, Kirwin.

Mrs. Weems will lie in state from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Monday for visitation in the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kirwin United Methodist Church.
