RUSSELL — About 65 people gathered in the parking lot of the Russell County Courthouse on Saturday in a peaceful protest of racial inequality.
During the local demonstration, preachers and community members shared positive messages of understanding and support for everyone in the community, often with a spiritual underpinning.
Members of the Russell Police Department and Russell County Sheriff's Office were also in attendance, distributing water bottles to the crowd.
