Cynthia Ann Karlin, age 75, of Hays, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Hays Medical Center. She was born April 8, 1945 in Abilene, KS to Fred and Angela (Dreiling) Kisner. On May 8, 1965 she married Gerald Karlin at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Hays.
Cindy was a homemaker and had worked at the Ellis County Courthouse in the Appraiser’s office, St. John’s Rest Home and Golden Belt Bank. She was a member of the High Plains Baptist Church in Hays. She enjoyed helping family and friends when needed, jigsaw puzzles, decorating during the Christmas Holiday season as well as seasonal decorating at the church. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
She is survived by her husband Gerald of Hays; a son, Kevin Karlin and wife Marti of Olathe, KS; a daughter, Kelly Wasinger of Olathe, KS; a brother Jon Kisner of Hays; a sister, JaNell Newton of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Kayla and Macy Karlin, Kaden, Kaylee Wasinger, Justin, Kelsey and Kyler Niernberger; two great grandchildren, Kinley and Jace Niernberger and a son-in-law, Darren Niernberger of Hays.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kim Niernberger.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the High Plains Baptist Church 2700 Canterbury Hays, KS. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 PM – 8 PM at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 6760. Wednesday visitation will be 9 AM until service time at the church.
