WACO, Texas – Fort Hays State returned to the AFCA Top 25 for the first time since the 2019 season on Monday. The Tigers are No. 25 in the latest edition of the poll, giving the MIAA four teams inside the Top 25. FHSU elevated from No. 24 to No. 21 in the latest D2Football.com Top 25 Poll, also released on Monday.
The Tigers are in the same position where they last exited the poll back in 2019. FHSU held a No. 25 ranking in the first regular season poll of that season before dropping out. The Tigers have been among the receiving votes section of the poll numerous years since, but finally moved back into the Top 25 on Monday in the No. 25 position.
The Tigers join Central Missouri (No. 2), Pittsburg State (No. 4), and Emporia State (No. 21) in this week's AFCA Top 25 Poll. UCM is 1-0 overall, while PSU, ESU, and FHSU are all 2-0 overall.
Central Missouri (No. 2), Pittsburg State (No. 3) and Fort Hays State (No. 21) represent the MIAA in the D2Football.com Poll. UCM and PSU remained in the same positions as last week, while FHSU elevated three spots in the poll after defeating Missouri Western.
