NORTON — Norton County Community Foundation has announced the date for its third annual Norton County Match Day. MatchDay 2020 will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the Heaton Building in Norton.
MatchDay is a giving event designed to raise awareness and support for nonprofits and charitable organizations in Norton County. NCCF has committed $20,000 to match the donations that organizations receive on MatchDay. A complete set of match rules/guidelines can be found on NCCF’s website at www.nortonccf.org/matchday2020.
Nonprofit or charitable organization with endowed funds at NCCF are eligible to participate. Organizations have until June 26 to establish this fund and are encouraged to call the office to discuss options. Applications to participate are due by June 26 and can be found on NCCF’s website at www.nortonccf.org/matchday2020. A final list of participating organizations will be made available to the public after the application deadline of June 26 has passed.
On MatchDay 2020, participating organizations will be invited - but not required - to set up a table in the Heaton Building to help raise money for their organizations. Donors can make an in-person donation at the Heaton Building between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. July 29 or an online donation via NCCF’s website at www.nortonccf.org/matchday2020. Online donations will be accepted between from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59:59 p.m. on July 29.
“We’re looking forward to this year’s MatchDay and are excited to present the community with both an in-person and online option for giving,” said Tara Vance, executive director of Norton County Community Foundation. “We changed the participation requirements this year so that only organizations with endowed funds at NCCF can participate. We’re excited about the number of organizations who are thinking long-term and committing to endowing funds for the betterment and sustainability of their organizations.”
