HAYS - The TMP-Marian Monarchs 18U baseball team scored in every inning as they sweep Otis-Bison Wednesday evening to move to 3-1.
The games were makeups after being rained out Tuesday.
The Monarchs return to action Friday with a doubleheader at Dean Evans Stadium in Salina against the Salina Eagles.
Game 1: Monarchs 19, Otis-Bison 11 (5 innings)
After scoring three runs in each of the first four innings,
the Monarchs blew the game open with seven in the fifth.
Noah Gibson had three of the Monarchs 13 hits. He and Tyson Dinkel both drove in three. Ethan Atherton and Mark Rack both had two RBIs.
Game 2: Monarchs 11, Otis-Bison 1 (4 innings)
The Monarchs scored four in the first then added three runs
in the second and third before adding a run in the fourth for the run-rule
victory.
Tyson Dinkel and Mason Robbins both had two of the Monarchs eight hits. Mark Rack finished with three RBIs while Noah Gibson drove in two.
Mark Rack, Tyson Dinkel each pitched two innings and combined to hold Otis-Bison to one hit.
