
Clyde Dean Michel, 77, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his home with his family by his side.
Clyde
was born May 14, 1943 in Russell, Kansas, the son of Rueben and Emma
(Ruf) Michel. He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High
School.
Clyde served his country in the U.S. Navy during 1962 to 1966.
He
was united in marriage to Fanny Cecilia on January 10, 1976. He was
blessed with three daughter Ranae, Lisa and Elina. They made their home
in California, Texas and Arizona.
Clyde was an Accountant for AZ Department of Quality Control in Arizona before retiring a few years ago.
He
was a life member of the Russell V.F.W. Post #6240 and the Russell
American Legion Post #99. In his spare time, he enjoyed constructing
model airplanes.
Clyde’s surviving family include his wife of 44
years, Fanny Cecilia of the home; three daughters, Ranae Leaverton of
Phoenix, Arizona, Lisa Raypold (Peter) of Anchorage, Alaska and Elina
Michel of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Shirley Brown (Myron) of Oklahoma;
and five grandchildren, Douglass Raypold, Branden Raypold, Catherine
Leaverton, Kendrick Leaverton and Kirsten Leaverton.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents.
A
Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, June 7, 2020 at
the Russell City Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted by the
Russell V.F.W. Post #6240 Honor Guard. Family and friends may view from
Noon to 2:30 PM, Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary.
