Sharon (Phlieger) Braun, 71, of Surprise, Arizona passed away Monday 5/25/2020 at her home in Sun City Grand, Surprise, Arizona.
Sharon was born July 18, 1948 in Quinter, Kansas. Sharon was one of 4 children born to Pius A and Delores (Goetz) Phlieger. Sharon grew up on a farm south of Park, KS. She graduated from Park High School. She attended Fort Hays State after High School.
She married Jim Braun on February 23,1980, and celebrated their 40th anniversary this year. Sharon owned and operated Sharon’s Creations, a seasonal kiosk gift business with stores and kiosks in malls around the country during the Christmas season for 28 years. She was a Realtor in Surprise, AZ for a few years and retired in 2013.
Sharon enjoyed scrapbooking for her children & grandchildren and playing Mah Jong with a multitude of friends!
Survivors include her Husband, Jim; Daughter Melissa Lawver & husband Terrence, Aurora, CO; Son Dustin, Surprise, AZ; Mother Delores Phlieger, Quinter, KS; Brother Phil Phlieger, Phoenix, AZ; Sister Shirley Morel & husband Lonnie, Grainfield, KS; 3 Grandchildren Brayden & Mackensie Lawver, Aurora, CO. & Teagan Braun, Surprise, AZ.; Mother In Law Wanda Braun, Hays, KS, Sisters in law & Brothers in Law Cindy & Harvey Munsch, Hays, KS. Kurt & Cindy Braun, Aurora, CO. Steve & Sue Braun, Aurora, CO, Kathy Hoss, Tulsa, OK, Karen & Mario Gutierrez, Hays, KS, Susan & Todd Dreiling, Colorado Springs, CO. She also has 19 Nieces/Nephews & 39 Great Nieces/Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Dad Pius Phlieger 1987, her Brother Rick Phlieger 2002 and Father In Law Edwin Braun 2017.
Cremation is planned and due to the circumstances, we have chosen to have a celebration of life later in the year in Arizona and in Kansas.
