Glenn Richard “Rich” Werth, age 76, died June 1, 2020 at HaysMed. He was born on June 9, 1943 in Schoenchen to Frank F. and Lidwina (Tauscher) Werth.
Rich attended Schoenchen school, he lived many years in California working as a tool machinist, then returned home to Hays where he worked as a house painter. He loved early mornings, the outdoors, fishing, gambling, and beers at the Golden Q.
He married Roberta Schwab and from that union they were blessed with four children. They later divorced.
Survivors include two daughters: Kim (Jim) Lascola of McKinney, TX; Laura of CA; two sons: Glenn of Oxnard, CA; and Ricky of CA. Nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. His brothers: Ernie (Marlys) Werth of Schoenchen, KS; Steve Werth of Lancaster, CA; sisters: Laurine Werth of Hays, KS; MaryAnn Rendt of Wichita, KS; Genevieve Mendenhall of Wichita, KS; and Cheryl Kay Thomas of Hays, KS and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Robert F. Werth, Francis Werth Jr., Irvin Lee Werth, Fred Werth, and sister: Lillian Graf.
Memorial Services will be Monday, June 8, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen, KS. Inurnment will follow the services in the church cemetery.
