Vernon L. Steerman, 90, of Alton, KS, formerly of Osborne, KS, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 at the Osborne County Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1929 at Riley, KS to Leo & Ora (Miller) Steerman.
Vernon was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a LT. Colonel in the JAG during the Korean War & Vietnam War. He later served as an Osborne County Attorney.
Vernon married Vivian M. Brummer and to this union 3 daughters were born.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Vivian in 2019.
Vernon is survived by his daughters: Vicki Bodner of San Antonio, TX; Valerie Woznak of Worton, TX; VeAnne Depperschmidt of McPherson, KS; 5 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.
