Kelly Eugene Traxel, age 57, of Hays, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at his home. He was born April 30, 1963, in Kansas City, Kansas to David Traxel and Rose Lea (West) Traxel.
Kelly was an OTR Truck Driver for Butler Trucking and JB Hunt. He was an auto enthusiast, and a people person.
He was married to Tracy Jones and from that union came a daughter: Jennifer. They later divorced.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Traxel (Matthew) from Hays, KS; two brothers: Kenny Traxel (Kimberly) Eads, TN and Johnny Springate (Jill, Independence, MO; sisters: Tammy (Brian) O’Donahue, Blue Springs, MO; and Sydney Madison, Kansas City, KS; three grandchildren, Robert, Alexandria and Sean.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held on June 2, 2020, at the Stepping Stones Park in Hays, KS at 2:30 PM to memorialize Kelly’s life.
