Glenda Rae Tiffin, 84, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Smoky Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Salina, Kansas.

Glenda was born on January 14, 1936, in Blue Rapids, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Fletcher) Nance. She grew up in Marysville, Kansas, and graduated from Marysville High School in 1954. She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Donald Glen Tiffin on September 01, 1979, in Lincoln, Kansas. They made their home in Russell, Kansas, and lived in Russell for 34 years. Donald preceded her in death on May 04, 2014. She and Don enjoyed square dancing and playing bridge together. She also enjoyed traveling, collecting Precious Moments figurines and spending time with her family and close friends. She was a longtime member of the 1st Congregational Church of Russell. She was also very active in square dance clubs, Jaycee Jaynes Club and several bridge clubs.

Surviving family include her son Greg Wassenberg of Salina, Kansas; step-son Donald E. Tiffin and wife Pamela of Midland, Texas; step-daughter Janet M. Garrett and husband Blaine of Castle Rock, Colorado; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside celebration of Glenda’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the Russell City Cemetery in Russell, Kansas, with burial following. Viewing will be from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Friday, May 22, 2020, at the mortuary. Family will be present to greet guests from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. Friday afternoon at the mortuary. Memorials may be given to the Smoky Hill Health and Rehab Memory Unit and sent in care of the mortuary. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
