Mary Lou Saryerwinnie

Mary Lou (Dick) Saryerwinnie, 58 of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away August 22, 2020, after a long illness with cancer.

Mary was born November 2, 1961, in Russell, Kansas.  She was the youngest daughter of Harold and Donna (Turley) Dick.  She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the Class of 1980.

Mary was united in marriage to Gary Elmquist.  This union was blessed with a son Trent Allen.  They later divorced.  Later in life, she was a companion to Don Veach and worked as a secretary for Veach Commincations.  They traveled to several States with the business, ending in Coolidge, Arizona, until Don’s death.  Later, she was united in marriage to Dennis Saryerwinnie on February 14, 2017, in Casa Grande.

Mary enjoyed traveling, shopping, gardening and most of all her small dog Monique.  She loved visiting with family and friends.

Mary’s surviving family include her mother, Donna Dick of Russell, Kansas; son, Trent Elmquist of Osawatomie, Kansas; husband, Dennis Saryerwinnie of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandsons, Mason and Prestin of Osawatomie, Kansas; brothers, Michael Dick (Kathy) of Russell, Kansas and Kevin Dick of Russell, Kansas; sister, Tina Langerman (Larry) of Wilson, Kansas; half sister, Jeanine Innes (John) of Kansas City, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her father Harold Dick, maternal and paternal grandparents; Companion Don Veach; daughter-in-law, Jessica and infant brother. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell.  Burial of Ashes will follow at the St. Francis Cemetery in Munjor, Kansas.  The family will be present to greet friends from Noon until service time at the Mortuary on Saturday.
