Katherine Louise Weber, 94, of Oakley, left this world on Sunday, May 17, 2020, to meet the Lord and those who have gone before her. She passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. Katie was born August 28, 1925, in St. Peter, KS, to Balthasar and Margareth (Rohleder) Brungardt. She grew up on a farm near St. Peter and had many wonderful and challenging times growing up. She married Celestine Weber on May 21, 1946 and they moved to a farm six miles south of Campus, KS. She and Celey had fun times and many hardships growing the family farm. After Celey passed away on January 13, 1970, Katie continued to expand the family farm. Raising, loving and providing for her children was one of her many joys. Family time was very important, with many hours of fun games, travel and visiting. Katie served as an officer and member of the Grinnell Immaculate Conception Church Altar Society. Through life’s challenges, Katie kept a positive outlook and a big smile. Her faith in the Lord helped her throughout her lifetime.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Celestine Weber; son David Weber; grandsons, Joey Weber and Matthew Weber and her brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind her children, William (Barbara, John (Nancy, Jacob (Michele, Edwin (Karen, Leonard (Donna, Mary Ann (Phil) Reitcheck and Margaret (Gary) Dohm; daughter-in-law Cheri Weber; 21 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, and many other relatives.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Grinnell, with burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for Masses or the Joey Weber Endowment and can be sent in care of Leonard Weber, 9236 S RD 70W, Hoxie, KS 67740.
