John K. Harmon, 83, passed away May 16, 2020 at his home in Larned.
He was born June 6, 1936 in Larned to Kenneth R. and Lorrena M. Pryor Harmon.
A lifetime area resident he was an auto driver at Larned State Hospital. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Larned Jaycee’s, was a boy scout leader, enjoyed being involved with the Santa Fe Trail Auto Club and he served in the United States Army.
Survivors include: step daughter, Marsha Hurst, Larned; sister, Joan (Steve) Winkler, Albuquerque, NM; nephew, Pat Winkler, Albuquerque, NM; one niece, Molly Winkler, Albuquerque, NM and a great niece Hailey Paige Winkler, Tuscon, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by; a nephew Jeff Winkler.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Larned Cemetery with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial with military graveside rites will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
