Dorothy V. Tubbs passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2020, at Whispering Pines in Norton, KS, at the age of 103.

She was born July 31, 1916, in Phillips Co., KS the daughter of Ernest “Tommy” and Anna Marie (Gebhard) Ames.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Dale Edward Tubbs on August 15, 1937, in Phillipsburg, KS.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on December 17, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael E. Tubbs.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Lloyd D. Tubbs of Long Island, KS and Kevin L. Tubbs of Almena, KS; daughter, Kathie E. Martin of Danville, CA; brother, Marline Ames of Salina, KS; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2020 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Ted Stapleton.&nbsp; The services will be streamed live on Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel’s FaceBook page.&nbsp; The burial will follow in the Long Island Cemetery, Long Island, KS.

Mrs. Tubbs will lie in state Sunday from noon until 9 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 2nd Street, Phillipsburg, KS&nbsp; 67661.

Memorials may be made to Whispering Pines or Long Island United Methodist Scholarship Fund.
