ELLIS — The Ellis USD 388 school board voted to accept the resignation of board member&nbsp;Mike Gaschler effective immediately at its meeting Monday night.

Gaschler wrote in an email to the board, "Due to a change in my job schedule, I feel it is best to resign my position on the board effective immediately."

The board will advertise the opening next month. The board will then interview and appoint a new member the following month.

Gaschler was elected in 2017 and served two and half years on the board.
