The Chamber in Hays, Kansas is currently seeking applications for Vice President of Membership.  Interested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, and three reference letters to [email protected] by June 5th.  The Vice President of Membership reports directly to the President/CEO of The Chamber.

Specific duties for this position include:

  1. Responsible for keeping all membership information, dues structure and resources updated, organized and available for reports.
  2. Obtain new Chamber memberships and help retain them beyond their first year of membership.
  3. Communicate, connect, and develop relationships with existing chamber members as needed, with a goal to reach out to all members annually if possible.
  4. Sell advertising, programs, and sponsorships for events and programs as deemed necessary by the President/CEO.
  5. Assist with the collection of overdue membership dues.
  6. Assist in organizing and coordinating details for special events, programs and projects as deemed necessary by the President/CEO. 
  7. Schedule weekly Chamber Chats, Ribbon Cuttings, Business Showcases, Grand Openings, Ground Breakings, and other events.
  8. Maintain the Welcome Home bucket program.
  9. Speak and lead at Chamber sponsored events as needed.
  10. Assist other Chamber staff in maintaining Chamber Cheques, plans room, bulk rate stamp, phone reception, and other office procedures as necessary.
  11. Strong communication and organizational skills must be utilized as this position’s work greatly impacts the progress of the team overall.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
