The Kansas Department of Transportation expects to begin work this week on a resurfacing project on K-181 in Osborne County.

Project work will consist of a surface recycle on 8 miles of K-181 starting at the Mitchell County line and ending at W 105th Drive. A chip seal will also be completed from the Mitchell County line to the Downs south city limits. Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car operation during daylight hours. Minor delays should be expected.

KDOT anticipates work to be completed by the end of June, weather permitting.

Dustrol Inc. is the primary contractor for the $913,000 project.
