Ida Marie Shelton

Ida Marie Shelton, 88, passed away April 16, 2020 at Diversicare of Larned.

She was born November 17, 1931 in La Crosse to Ralph and Roxie Woods McNemee.

A longtime area resident she was a homemaker and a secretary. She attended the First Southern Baptist Church, Larned and was involved with the Welcome Inn Senior Center, Larned.

On July 23, 1949 she married Donald Shelton in Sharon Springs, they later divorced. He passed away December 17, 2000.

Survivors include: three sons, Ronald (Marletta) Shelton, Richard “Dick” (Rosie) Shelton, and Kenny (Jenny) Shelton, all of Larned; daughter, Donna Martin, Larned; daughter-in-law Mary Shelton, Larned; brother Dan Sinklier, Colorado Springs, Colorado; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Shelton; four brothers Ralph McNemee, Everett McNemee, Jim Sinklier and Mike Sinklier.; infant sister Elizabeth Ann McNemee; and an additional set of parents, Clarence and Lena Unruh.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Larned Cemetery, Larned, with Pastor Mark Slattery presiding. Visitation 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
