United Way of Ellis County announced this week its COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund has now reached over $7,000 due to an Immediate Need Grant of $2,500 from the Heartland Community Foundation, donations from the community and United Way match.
This fund was established to help local nonprofits with the prevention, education and mitigation of the economic fallout due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations are still being accepted at www.liveunited.us/covid-19 or mail a donation to P.O. Box 367, Hays, KS 67601.
Area nonprofits can now apply for funding through the Relief Fund. Applications can be found at www.liveunited.us/covid-19. Completed applications may be emailed to [email protected].
