The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a one-year deal with free agent running back DeAndre Washington, Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports reports.
Washington, 27, spent his first four seasons with the Raiders after they made him a fifth-round choice out of Texas Tech. He was a college teammate of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes with the Red Raiders. During his senior season, Washington accounted for 1,492 total yards and 14 touchdowns.
In 2019 with Oakland, Washington played in 16 games with three starts. He ran for 387 yards and three touchdowns, while recording a career-high 36 receptions for a career-high 292 yards.
Washington has played 55 games with five starts in his career. He has 282 carries for 1,122 yards and seven touchdowns, while also catching 88 passes for 613 yards and a score.
