Sherman Eugene “Gene” Miller, 87, La Crosse, Kansas, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.
Gene was born October 18, 1932, the son of Isaac “Ike” and Bertha (Williams) Miller. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas. A 1951 graduate of Alexander High School, Alexander, Kansas, he was a farmer.
Gene loved playing softball, baseball, and town team basketball.
Survivors include: several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Chet Miller; and three sisters, Cleo Dick, Shirley Jennings, and Goldia Miller.
Because of the current challenges the world is facing at the present time, this is a private, immediate family only, graveside service and interment, with no visitation.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to the Rush County EMTs.
