
Morris Edward Galliart passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the
Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kansas, at the age of 87.
Morris was born on March 25, 1933 to David and Lydia (Mikulecky)
Galliart in Wilson, Kansas.
Morris grew up in Wilson where he attended Wilson schools. He then
pursued a career in the oil field as a unit driver until his retirement.
Morris was united in marriage to Jane Casper on November 12, 1955, at
the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wilson. To this union, Brent, Cindy, and
Gisele were born.
Morris enjoyed staying busy; you could always find him outside in
his vegetable garden, fishing, cutting wood, working on a landscaping
project, or in his garage. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran
Church in Wilson.
Morris was a good-hearted man who worked hard, enjoyed life and
cherished his family and friends. Though Morris is gone from our sight,
we know that those we enjoyed and loved, we can never lose, for all
that we love deeply becomes a part of us. We can smile because he lived
and left us with cherished memories that will live forever in our
hearts. He will be remembered in love.
Morris is survived by his wife, Jane Galliart of the home; children,
Brent Galliart of St. Joseph, MO, Cindy (Gary) Naegele of Kearney, NE,
and Gisele (Doug) Loomis of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Leo Galliart and
Clarence Galliart of Halstead, KS; four grandchildren, Chris (Marissa)
Naegele, Kelsey (Marvin) Whitehorn, Jordan Loomis, Braydan Loomis; and
six great-grandchildren, Emily, Dante, Evyn, and Korbin Naegele, and
Kelmarah and Markelia Whitehorn; and great great-granddaughter,
Anastasia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Lydia Galliart;
brother, Dave Galliart; and sisters, Ida Casper and Frances Glendening.
