Former Maize High standout guard Caleb Grill has announced through social media he is transferring to UNLV. Grill considered attending UNLV a year ago but chose Iowa State over the Rebels and Kansas State.
Grill spent one season in Ames but entered the NCAA transfer portal at the end of the 2019-20 season.
Grill originally committed with South Dakota State out of high school but de-committed when Jackrabbits head coach T.J. Otzelberger left to become head coach at UNLV.
Grill played played in 29 games during the 2019-20 season at Iowa State, averaging 2.1 points per game.
