Dorothy Frances Miller, 94, of Independence, MO passed away in her home on February 2, 2020. She was born on January 8, 1926 in Osborne, KS to John D. & Alice M. (Smith) O'Connor. She was one of several children.
She graduated from Osborne High School in 1943. She married Delmar E. Miller of Osborne in Olathe, KS on September 21, 1946. They had one son, Charles E. Miller.
Dorothy & Delmar owned 4 bakeries in the Kansas City area. They took early retirement & sold the bakeries.
She enjoyed working in her yard with her hostas. She also collected angels. Dorothy was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Church & of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar; her parents; sister: Lola Mitchell; brother: Paul O'Connor; 2 nephews: John O'Connor & Robert Elliott & a nieice: Rebecca Elliott.
She is survived by son Charles of Independence, MO; sister: JoAnn Elliott of Glasco, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grand & great-grand nieces & nephews.
