ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (AP) — A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that the Denver Broncos have agreed to a two-year contract with free agent tight end Nick Vannett.

The fifth-year pro from Ohio State played for Seattle and Pittsburgh last season. Vannett's deal with Denver is worth nearly $6 million.

Vannett will serve as the No. 2 tight end in Denver behind 2019 first-round draft pick Noah Fant. His addition could spell the end of tight end Jeff Heuerman's time with the Broncos.

Chiefs get help for offensive line

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Super Bowl champion Chiefs saw something they liked in the Giants.

Right tackle Mike Remmers signed a one-year contract Saturday with the Chiefs, following special teams gunner Antonio Hamilton’s lead of going from the Giants to the Chiefs, according to agent Brett Tessler.

The exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Remmers started 14 games last season as a one-year stopgap. The two ex-Giants are the only players signed by the Chiefs in the first week of free agency.
