Marjorie May Rohr, 81, passed away on March 18, 2020 at the Rhode Island Suites in Ransom, Kansas. She was born on May 15, 1938 in Dighton, Kansas the daughter of Carl and Rosa (Michel) Cheney.
Marjorie was a secretary for C and R Salvage and a homemaker. She was a member of the Sunflower Polka Club and Wakeeney Eagle’s Auxiliary No. 3774. She married Leonard Rohr on Monday, April 14, 1958, in Dighton, Kansas. He died on March 2, 2012.
Survivors include: 2 daughters-in-law, Judy Rohr of Ness City, Betty Rohr of Marian, Iowa; 1 sister, Phyllis Thon of Colby; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Loren) Pfeifer of Wakeeney, Joseph Rohr of Wakeeney, Justin Rohr of Goodland, Anthony Rohr of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Katrina (Ben) Jelinek of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 1 step-grandchild, Tracie (Edgar) Padilla of Spring, Texas; 1 great-grandchild, Alex Pfeifer of Wakeeney; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Nicole Padilla and Sarah Padilla both of Spring, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard Rohr, 2 sons, James Jacob Rohr and Thomas Carl Rohr, and 1 nephew, Lance Bryant.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, 10:00 A.M., at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas. Burial in the Ransom Cemetery, Ransom, Kansas. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas, from 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 with the family present from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
