KS FOREST SERVICE

MANHATTAN - To mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to our Kansas Forest Service staff, their families and those we serve, we have decided to cancel all in-person events for the next three weeks. Any events beyond April 4 will be evaluated as we move forward.

Our team is dedicated to continuing our service to Kansans as best as we can using remote technology. To continue our service, KFS staff will work remotely as they are able to do so. Please be patient with us as we will have limited staff in the State Office to answer phones and provide in-person service.

At this time, the following events have been cancelled: Saltcedar/Tamarisk Management Workshop, Syracuse, March 19 Hazardous Fuels Mitigation Project, Scott Lake State park, March 21-28 Tree City USA Recognition and Celebration, Salina, March 25 & 26

The Agroforestry Field Day planned for April 28 has been postponed. Please check back for information on the rescheduled date.

If you have questions or concerns about one-on-one meetings you currently have scheduled with our district foresters, please reach out to them directly.
